Monday, September 21, 2009 4:52:03 PM Subject: WoncaLiebe Schwestern, der Wonca-Kongress ist nun vorbei. Er ist perfekt und reibungslos verlaufen und fand in einer ausgezeichneten Atmosphäre statt. Die TeilnehmerInnen haben super mitgemacht. Die wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltungen waren bestens besucht mit lebhafter und interaktiver Beteiligung. Wir haben lauter Komplimente erhalten für den Kongress als Ganzes. Und es war ein Riesending: 4700 TeilnehmerInnen aus 73 Ländern. Nun freuen wir uns sehr ob des gelungenen Kongresses. Natürlich gibt es noch einige Nachbearbeitungen, wie z.B. den Beteiligten zu danken. So danke ich auch Euch allen für Euer Verständnis dafür, dass ich während der dreijährigen Vorbereitungszeit immer wieder "weit weg" war und mich oft nicht so stark um die Familie gekümmert habe. That it will contribute a small mosaic stone for the promotion and further development of family medicine within Switzerland, Europe and globally. That the very communicative conference environment will have been a catalysator for sharing knowlede, attitudes, experiences and visions, for networking and making new national and international connections for many projects in favour of family medicine. That our Basel conference will help to place or replace family medicine into or back to the center of each health system where it really belongs gobally: in the technically highly developed Western countries by reason of an adequate care for the growing number of chronically ill and polymorbid patients and also with regard to guarantee an equal and adequate access to the health system for the growing number of poor people suffering more and more from disadvantages by social determinants... and in developing countries in view of an adequate access for all people to a health system of high quality... and to an integration of mental health in primary care as it is promoted with the WHO-Wonca book launched in Basel.
